[PM] Tenant Posted Jobs: Cloning a Job

Updated over 8 months ago

Bricks + Agent has a 'Clone' function that allows you to duplicate jobs of a similar nature.

You can clone a job by doing the following steps in two different instances:

1. Sending a job with a number of different issues in the same job to different trades.

You can use the clone functions to send a job with a number of different issues in the same job to different trades. For example if a tenant submits a maintenance request containing electrical and plumbing issues, you might like to split them out by using the cloning feature.

STEP 1: Open the job you want to clone, click 'More,' then 'Clone,' and we'll replicate all of the current information in that job from your tenant.

You can then use the blue πŸ–‹οΈ icon to edit the details. You can send it to another trade, a different property of different trade, or the same trade.

STEP 2: Select the trade to which you want to send the clone job, and then send it out.

This will then generate a new job while keeping the existing one in its current status.

2. Sending a number of jobs with similar information to the same trade but change the property

You can use the clone functions to create multiple jobs by creating the first one, cloning as many as you want, and sending these jobs out to a different trade, property, or the same trade. Example on how you would use this is for smoke alarm jobs, rather than create the same request multiple times, you create it once and clone it to keep the same creditor but change the property.

There is no limit to cloning jobs; you can also clone completed jobs.
