About adding inspections in the CMS
You can schedule inspections directly on the Inspection Manager website when needed, though it is generally best practice to schedule them in your trust accounting software to keep your inspection schedule and property data aligned.
Before you begin
Before you add an inspection, make sure the basics are in place so you can find the property and assign the right inspector.
Confirm the property exists in Inspection Manager (for example, synced from your platform or already set up). Only properties that exist in the Inspection Manager system will appear when you search
Confirm the inspector is an active user in your Inspection Manager account so you can assign the inspection
Add a new inspection
Use the Inspections page to create a new inspection and assign it to a user.
Go to: Properties in the left menu
Select New Inspection in the top-right
In Property ID or Address, start typing the property address, then select the correct property from the list
In Inspector, select the user who will complete the inspection
In Type, choose the inspection type: Ingoing, Routine, or Outgoing
Select the Date and Time for the inspection
Select Add to schedule the inspection
Tip: If you cannot find the property in the search list, it usually means the property has not been created or synced into Inspection Manager yet.
After you add the inspection
Once created, the inspection should appear in your inspection list and be available to the assigned inspector.
Return to the Inspections list to confirm the inspection appears
If the inspection is not visible in the mobile app straight away, refresh the inspection list in the app to pull through the latest changes
Tip: If the app’s inspection list hasn’t updated, try signing out and back in.
