About emailing invoices to external users

Invoice Automate includes a built‑in action to email invoices to people outside your organisation (external users), directly from the invoice preview.


Send an invoice to an external email

To send an email to an external address:

  • In Invoice Automate > Open an invoice you want to email

  • In the right‑hand panel, select + Add external user emails

  • In the External User Emails modal, you’ll see:

    • Invoice preview (left side) with zoom controls

    • A rich‑text email editor (right side) prefilled with email body text you can edit

    • A + Add External User Email to add more recipients

  • Edit the message - In the email editor, adjust the wording, use formatting (bold, italics, lists), and add any context the recipient needs

  • Click + Add External User Email to add the recipient

  • (Optional) Select + Add External User Email to additional recipients as needed

  • Click Send Emails

The invoice email is sent to the address(es) you entered with your edited message content.

Tip: If the email is not in your inbox but in your spam or junk mail, please consider whitelisting the invoices@invoiceautomate.com address.
