Use this workflow when a paperless ingoing inspection has already been sent from CMS and the tenant needs more time to complete it. This allows you to extend the report’s completion window without creating a new inspection. The send workflow for paperless ingoing inspections starts from a completed ingoing inspection in CMS.

Note: This article continues from Send a paperless ingoing inspection in the CMS. If you have not sent the paperless ingoing yet, this option will not be available.


Extend the paperless ingoing timer

Use the inspection action menu to add more time to the tenant’s paperless ingoing report.

  • Go to: Inspections

  • Find the relevant ingoing inspection in the list

  • Open the action menu for that inspection

  • Select Extend Paperless Timer

  • In the extension window, select the number of additional days to extend the report (1, 2 or 3 days)

  • Select Save

After saving, CMS displays a confirmation message so you can verify that the change has been applied.

  • Review the success message confirming the paperless ingoing timer was extended

  • Select OK to close the message

  • Return to the inspection list and check the inspection details to confirm that the updated time allowance is shown

Once the timer is extended, the tenant retains access to the paperless ingoing report until the revised deadline.
