About the Redact Invoices add‑on

Redact Invoices is a paid add-on that enables your agency to conceal sensitive information on tenancy invoices before sharing or exporting them. This feature is designed to help you take reasonable measures to protect personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles as outlined by the OAIC. By using redaction, you can minimise the risk of accidental disclosure when sharing documents with owners, tenants, or third parties.

Note: Redaction supports privacy compliance, but it does not replace your broader legal obligations under privacy law or any state tenancy requirements. For example, NSW has advanced proposals that emphasise safeguarding renters’ personal data. Consult your legal adviser for agency‑specific guidance.

Turn on the Redact Invoices add‑on

Use this section to subscribe to the add‑on in your plan.

  • In Invoice Automate > Go to: Settings > Invoice Plan > Add‑ons

  • Switch Redact Invoices On

  • Review the billing notice

Notes:

  • The add‑on is billed at $100 ex-GST per month, in addition to your plan

  • Enabling the toggle indicates acceptance of Proptech Labs Terms and Conditions. Select the link to review the policy

Enable redacted tenancy invoices in Creditor Settings

Subscribing to the add‑on makes the feature available. You still need to enable it where it's used.

  • In Invoice Automate > Go to: Settings > Creditor Settings

  • Turn on Enable redacted tenancy invoice

  • Select Save All to apply the setting

Once enabled, invoices marked for redaction will be generated or shared with masked fields, depending on your agency’s usage of the feature.
