About adding inspections from a property record
Adding an inspection from a property record is a quick way to schedule an inspection while you are already reviewing property details on the Inspection Manager website.
While it is generally best practice to schedule inspections in your trust accounting platform (so your schedule and sync workflows stay consistent), manual scheduling on the website is available when needed.
Before you begin
These checks help ensure you can search for the property and assign the inspection to the right person.
Confirm the property exists in Inspection Manager (only existing properties appear in the property list and search)
Confirm the inspector is an active user in your Inspection Manager account (so the inspector appears in the drop-down list)
Tip: If your agency relies on trust accounting integrations, scheduling in the trust accounting platform may reduce manual rework and help keep systems aligned.
Add a new inspection from the Properties page
Use the Properties page to open a property’s inspection list, then create a new inspection from that property.
Select Properties in the left menu
Find the property you want to add an inspection to
Select View inspection(s) for that property
Select Add a new Inspection
In Inspector, select the inspector
In Type, select Ingoing, Routine or Outgoing
Select the Date and Time for the inspection
Select Add to create the inspection
After you add the inspection
After you create the inspection, you can confirm that it appears where you expect it to.
Check the property’s inspection list to confirm the new inspection appears
If the inspection is not visible in the mobile app straight away, refresh the inspection list in the app to pull through the latest changes
Tip: If the app’s inspection list hasn’t updated, try signing out and back in.
