Learn how to create a new inspection in Inspection Manager and copy conditions, comments, and media from a previous closed inspection using Last Inspection Data (LID).
This article covers:
About Last Inspection Data (LID) for manual inspections
Last Inspection Data (LID) lets you start a new inspection and copy selected information from a previous inspection, such as conditions, comments, and media (photos). This is useful when you want to compare a new routine against the last routine, or carry information from an ingoing to an outgoing inspection (or vice versa).
Note: LID can only copy from an inspection that is in Closed status.
Tip: If your office uses a trust accounting or property management integration, it’s generally best practice to schedule inspections in that system so they sync through automatically, then use LID if needed.
Before you begin
To avoid missing data or failing to see an inspection in the LID list, confirm these items first.
Last Inspection Data (LID) must be enabled in the CMS before you can select and reuse conditions, comments, or photos/media when creating a new inspection
This is managed by an Office Manager. If you cannot see the Last Inspection Data drop-down (or the conditions, comments and photos options), ask your office manager to enable it
Tip: If your office wants staff to reuse items from a prior inspection (not just preview them), your Office Manager must also enable Allow Re-Use for conditions, comments, and photos.
