About the highlighter tool

The highlighter tool lets you apply colour highlighting to selected text while editing an inspection report. Use this tool to draw attention to important comments, property details, maintenance notes, or other report content before finalising the report.

You must open a completed inspection report in edit mode before you can use the highlighter tool.

Open a completed inspection report in edit mode

Start from the Inspections page and locate the completed inspection report you want to update.

  • Select Inspections from the left-hand menu

  • Locate the completed inspection

  • Select the action menu to the right of View Report

  • Select Edit

Highlight text in the report

After the report opens in edit mode, select the text you want to highlight and apply the Highlighter tool.

  • In the report, select the text you want to highlight

  • Select the Highlighter icon in the toolbar

  • Review the selected text to confirm the highlight has been applied

  • Select Done

Tip: Highlight only the key words, sentences, or sections that need attention. This helps keep the report easy to read.

Remove highlighting from text

You can remove highlighting from selected text using the same Highlighter tool. The tool works as a toggle, so selecting highlighted text and selecting the Highlighter icon again removes the highlight.

  • Select the highlighted text

  • Select the Highlighter icon in the toolbar

  • Review the selected text to confirm the highlight has been removed

  • Select Done

Note: If the highlight is still visible, make sure the highlighted text is selected before selecting the Highlighter icon.
