About the Key Automate dashboard

Key Automate provides a virtual key cabinet that consolidates your key status, borrowers, and lending history.

Note: Before you begin, ensure that Bricks + Agent is enabled to access Key Automate.

Access the dashboard

To access the dashboard:

  • In Key Automate, click the key icon (Key Cabinet) to load the dashboard

View and filter by status

The dashboard uses colour tags to speed up status recognition.

  • Green - Checked in (keys in cabinet)

  • Yellow - Checked out

  • Blue - Ready to collect

  • Orange - Overdue

  • Red - Missing

Filter by clicking a status

  • On the dashboard, click a status (e.g., Checked in)

  • The list filters to only that status

  • Click additional statuses to combine views (e.g., Checked out and Overdue)

Note: The default status filter is All; combine status filters to manage exceptions (e.g., show Checked out + Missing to triage high‑risk items).

Filter by bookings

Use bookings filters to prepare keys for near‑term collections.

  • In the Bookings filter, select None to include all keys (Default)

  • Switch to Today to show keys planned for today and tomorrow

  • Choose This Week to see items planned across the current week

  • Optionally narrow by status at the same time (e.g., Ready to collect for Today)

Tip: Pair Ready to collect with Today to prepare only the keys required now, then print/pull the subset for your front desk.

Search for keys

To search, select your scope among Property, Key, or Borrower, then enter an address, key ID or label, or borrower (such as a trade name).

  • Click the Search box

  • Choose your scope: Property, Key, or Borrower

  • Type an address, key ID/label, or borrower (e.g., trade name)

  • Press Enter to view matching records and their status

Tip: To see keys checked out by a specific trade or staff member, search by Borrower and combine with the Checked out status.
