About Key Automate in Property Tree
Key Automate streamlines key tracking (virtual cabinet, overdue alerts, and borrower visibility) and integrates with property management systems. In Property Tree, agencies can access MRI Key Automate from the Managements workspace under Tasks.
Note: Property Tree manages third‑party integrations through its Configuration menu, where admins activate partner apps for the database.
Enable Key Automate
Note: You need admin or equivalent permissions to activate the integrations in Property Tree.
In Property Tree
Go to: Configuration > Company Tasks > Optional Features
Under Subscription Features, locate MRI Key Automate
Click Activate
Review and accept the legal terms and conditions
Click Activate
An MRI Key Automate activated confirmation box will appear. Wait a few moments for the page to load to the Key Automate calendar.
Click the Key Cabinet (key icon) to load the dashboard
Any keys added to Property Tree will sync to the dashboard.
Note: All synced keys will appear as checked in.

To access Key Automate, go to:
Managements > Tasks > Select MRI Key Automate

Once Key Automate opens, complete these essentials, so your team can start borrowing/returning keys with accountability:
Agency profile and locations - Confirm office details and any pickup/return locations that borrowers will see
Borrower types and permissions - Add/confirm key borrowers (e.g., staff, trades, tenants) and property managers as controllers/approvers
Policies - Set default loan periods, grace windows, and overdue alerts
Catalogue your keys - Create entries in the virtual key cabinet so each set can be assigned and tracked with a complete history
