[Owners] How to review a Maintenance Request

This article outlines how to review a Maintenance request and approve or reject as the property owner.

Bricks+Agent simplifies maintenance for you as the property owner. Follow the steps below to learn how to review and take an action on maintenance requests sent to you for approval.

First, open the Maintenance Request in your email

When your property manager sends you a maintenance request, you will receive an email with all the information you need.

Next, action the request.

Click on the blue button below to view additional attachments and details and to action the request.

You will then be taken to a page where you can review all the information and choose one of the three options:

  • I will attend

  • Approve

  • Reject

If you choose 'Approve' or 'Reject,' you will then be prompted to leave a note. This is required so your property manager has clear context for your decision.

Once you have typed in your note, simply click on the 'Approve' or 'Reject' button below.


Having multiple quotes

If your property manager has provided you more than one quote to choose from, you will receive the same Maintenance Request email and be prompted to the same page with all the information.

However, this time, you'd see a 'Quotes' section.

Click on the 'Quotes' section to review the quotes your property manager has prepared for you.

Once you have decided, simply click 'Accept' on the quote you have chosen.

You will then be prompted to leave a note, as usual, to provide clear context for your property manager. Type in your note, and click 'Accept' at the bottom.
