About adding a property manually
Use this process when you need to create a property directly in Inspection Manager (for example, when the property is not coming from an integration or you need to add it urgently)
You will add the property’s core details first, then optionally add tenant and landlord information, and finally select a property layout.
Add a new property profile
Start in the properties area to create a new property profile.
Select Properties on the left menu
Select + New Property (top right)
In Property Details, enter the required fields:
Type
Manager
Address 1
City/Suburb
State
Postcode
Inspection Frequency
(Optional) Enter any additional fields shown for your account, such as Key No. or Alarm Code, and Property Notes if your team uses them
Add tenant details
Adding tenant information is optional, and you can support paperless processes (for example, tenant-assisted or paperless ingoing inspections).
In the Tenant section, enter the available tenant fields shown on screen
To add tenants on a lease, select Add New Tenant
Enter each tenant’s details
Note: The Tenant section is optional. You can add tenants later if needed.
Add landlord details
Add landlord details to associate the property with an owner record.
In Landlord Details, enter the required field:
Full Name
(Optional) Enter any of the following if available:
Email
Mobile number
If needed, select Add New Landlord and complete the details
Select a property layout
A property layout controls the areas/sections available when you run inspections for that property.
Select the Property Layout & Assets tab
In Property Layout, open the Layout drop-down list
Select the layout you want to use
The selected layout will appear, where you can rearrange and delete rooms and features
Select Add Property to save
Note: The layout can be edited later from the app at the property.
