About clone inspection
Clone inspection helps you save time when managing properties with similar layouts or conditions. It lets you create a new inspection on one property by copying selected inspection data from another property’s completed inspection.
You can copy condition codes and comments. The property layout from the source inspection is also applied to the new inspection. Photos and other media are not copied, so you must capture new photos when completing the inspection.
Note: Clone inspection is useful for new developments or properties with similar room layouts and comparable condition details.
Before you start
Before you clone an inspection, make sure the inspection you want to copy from meets the system requirements. The source inspection must be in a Closed status and must match the correct report-type structure.
Routine inspections can only be cloned to or from other Routine inspections
Ingoing and Outgoing inspections can be cloned to or from either Ingoing or Outgoing inspections
Routine inspections cannot be cloned from Ingoing or Outgoing inspections
Photos or media are not available when cloning an inspection
The layout from the source inspection is applied to the target property
Tip: If you need photos in the new inspection, you must take and upload them separately after the cloned inspection is created.
Add a new inspection and choose the inspection type
Start by creating an inspection for the property you want to inspect.
In the left menu, select Properties
Find the property you want to add an inspection to
Select View inspection(s) for that property
Select Add a new Inspection
In Inspector, select the inspector
In Type, select Ingoing, Routine or Outgoing
Select the Date and Time for the inspection
In Or Clone inspection from, start typing the address of the source property
Select the correct property from the search results
In the inspection drop-down list, select the completed inspection you want to clone
Choose the data you want to copy:
Conditions
Comments
Select Add to create the new inspection
After the inspection has been added to the CMS, complete it in the Proptech Labs Property Manager app.
