About CMS settings

CMS Settings control how inspection and property information is displayed and managed in the Inspection Manager CMS. These options help your office standardise list views, reduce clutter from older inspections, and improve the notification workflow.

Note: CMS Settings are typically available only to users with the Office Manager role.

Access CMS settings

Use these steps to open the CMS Settings section.

  • Select Settings from the left menu

  • On the General Settings page, locate the CMS Settings panel

  • In CMS Settings, update any of the following:

Default Sort Order

Default Sort Order controls how inspection and property lists are sorted by default in the CMS.

Update the default sort order

  • Select the sort option you want:

    • Date & Time to sort by scheduled inspection date and time

    • Suburb to sort by suburb name

    • PropID to sort by property ID

Default availability for closed inspections

Default availability for closed inspections determines how many days closed inspections remain visible on the Inspection tab. After this period, closed inspections are archived in the property's history.

Update the closed inspection visibility window

  • Select the number of days you want closed inspections to remain visible (for example, 0, 3, 7, 15, 30, 60 days)

Number of records to display per page

Number of records to display per page controls how many results appear in CMS lists before paging.

Update records per page

  • Select your preferred option (for example, 10 or 20)

Enable power manager access

Enable power manager access allows users with the Power Manager role to add, edit, and delete properties and inspections in the CMS, but they cannot manage users or Settings.

Update Power Manager access

  • Toggle the setting:

    • On to allow Power Manager access

    • Off to restrict Power Manager access

Open ‘read more’ in new tab

Open ‘read more’ in new tab controls whether notification links open in a separate browser tab.

Update notification link behaviour

  • Toggle the setting:

  • On to open “Read More” notifications in a new tab

  • Off to open them in the current tab

New inspection time setting

New inspection time setting controls how the time field increments when inspections are created manually in the CMS.

Update time increments

  • Select the increment you want (for example, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes)
