Learn how to find deleted properties and inspections in the Recycle Bin.

Summary

Learn how to find deleted properties and inspections in the Recycle Bin.

This article covers:

About the recycle bin

The recycle bin stores properties and inspections that have been deleted, so you can restore them if needed. Use search and filters to quickly locate items, then restore the correct record.

Find a deleted property or inspection

Use the recycle bin menu to view deleted properties and inspections. Search and filters help you narrow down the list before restoring.

  • Select Recycle Bin on the left menu

  • In Search for a property, enter the property address, owner, or tenant (if known)

  • Use the available filters (for example, Type, Manager, Tenant, Owner, Suburb) to refine results

  • Review the list to locate the correct property row (and any related inspections)

Restore a deleted inspection

If an inspection was deleted but the property remains active, you may need to expand the property row to view the inspection list.

  • Locate the property that the inspection belongs to

  • If the property is active, expand the property row to display inspections:

    • Select Show Inspection(s) (or select the expand/drop-down control to the right of the property row)

  • In the inspections list, find the deleted inspection

  • On the far right of the inspection row, select Restore

Note: Restoring an inspection does not display a confirmation pop-up in Inspection Manager. The inspection is restored immediately.

Restore a deleted property

Restoring a property returns it to the Properties tab. If the property has associated inspections you want to keep, restore those inspections separately.

  • Locate the deleted property in the Recycle Bin list

  • On the far right of the property row, select Restore

  • Read the confirmation pop-up and select OK

  • If required, restore associated inspections for that property (see Restore a deleted inspection above)

Note: The confirmation message indicates the property has been restored to the Properties tab and reminds you to restore associated inspections you wish to keep.

Undo a restore

If you restored the wrong property or inspection, you can delete it again using Undo.

  • Locate the item you restored

  • Select Undo (usually shown on the restored item row)

Tip: Use filters or search before restoring to reduce the need to undo.
