About accessing inspections in the app

There are two places in the app where you can access inspections: the Inspections list and the Calendar. The Inspections list is the main screen for accessing inspections, while the Calendar shows inspections on their scheduled dates.

The app does not automatically download newly created or updated inspections. To see the latest information from the CMS, you need to manually refresh the inspection list.

Access an inspection from the Inspections list

The Inspections list is the most-used screen for accessing inspections. It displays inspections in a list view, sorted by inspection date, making it easy to open the inspection you need.

  • Open the Proptech Labs Property Manager app

  • Tap the Inspections list screen

  • Scroll through the list to find the inspection you want to open

  • Tap the inspection to open it

The Inspections list organises inspections in this order: today, tomorrow, past inspections, and then future inspections

Tip: Use the Inspection List for the quickest way to open an inspection from a date-based list.

Refresh the Inspections list

Refreshing the Inspections list updates the app to reflect the latest changes in the CMS. This helps if a new inspection has been created, an existing inspection has been updated, or office-controlled app settings have changed.

  • Tap the Inspections list screen

  • Pull down on the list until it starts refreshing

  • Wait for the refresh to finish

  • Check whether the inspection or update now appears in the app

Note: Refreshing the Inspection List can also update the app with other CMS changes, such as predictive phrases and photo limit changes.

Search for a specific inspection

If you do not want to scroll through the list, you can use the search box to find an inspection more quickly. This is useful when you already know which inspection you want to open.

  • Tap the Inspections list screen

  • Tap the search box

  • Enter details to locate the inspection

  • Tap the inspection in the results to open it

Filter inspections by status

You can apply status filters in the Inspection List to narrow the inspections shown. This is useful when you want to find inspections in a particular state, such as pending, in progress, not synced, or completed.

  • Tap the Inspections list screen

  • Select one or more inspection status filters

  • Review the filtered list

  • Tap the inspection you want to open

Tip: Use status filters to find inspections that still need action, such as Pending, In Progress, or Not Synced.

Access an inspection from the calendar

The calendar screen displays inspections on their inspection date. Inspections appear as coloured dots for each date, with colour indicating the inspection status.

  • Tap the Calendar screen in the app

  • Find the date of the inspection

  • Tap the day you want to view

  • Tap the inspection in the list below the calendar to open it

Tip: Use the calendar to browse inspections by date instead of searching or filtering in the list view.

What’s next?

Once you open an inspection, the next screen is the property profile screen, where you can review property details before starting the inspection.
