About cover pages in Inspection Manager

Cover pages add a branded first page to your inspection reports. In Inspection Manager, cover pages are configured in the CMS (web) under Settings.

Before you start

  • You need access to the Inspection Manager CMS Settings area

  • The Cover Page tab only appears after you enable Enable Cover Image Template in Reporting settings

Enable the cover page feature (cover image template)

To make cover page templates available, first enable the Reporting setting that turns on cover image templates. Once enabled, the Cover Page tab appears in Settings.

  • Go to: Settings

  • In General Settings, scroll to the Reporting section

  • Turn Enable Cover Image Template to ON

  • Scroll back to the top and confirm the Cover Page tab is now visible

Note: If you cannot see the Reporting section or the toggle, permissions may be restricting access in your account.

Choose a cover page template and set the default behaviour

Once the Cover Page feature is enabled, you can pick a template and decide whether cover pages appear by default on reports.

  • Go to: Settings > Cover Page

  • To make cover pages appear automatically on reports, set Enable Cover Page As Default to ON

  • Under Set a Report Cover template, select Template 1, Template 2, or Template 3

  • Select Save

Note:

  • If Enable Cover Page As Default is OFF, you must enable the cover page for each report/inspection when needed

  • If Enable Cover Page As Default is ON, the cover page is included automatically unless you turn it off for a specific report

Turn the cover page on or off for a specific inspection (when default is OFF)

If your account default is OFF, Inspection Manager provides a cover page toggle on each inspection while editing so you can include it only when required.

  • Open the relevant inspection in the CMS

  • Switch the inspection to Edit mode

  • Find the Cover Page option and toggle it to YES to include the cover page for that report

Tip: Use this approach if you only want cover pages for certain report types, such as ingoing or outgoing reports.

Customise what appears on the cover page (fields, colours, and photo)

You can control which details appear and adjust the look and feel using colour codes or the colour picker in the Cover Page settings.

  • Go to: Settings > Cover Page

  • In the left panel, turn each item ON or OFF depending on what you want shown:

    • Office Name

    • Office Address

    • Property Address

    • Tenant Details

    • Property Manager Details

    • Background Colour

    • Property Manager Photo

  • For colour styling, enter a hex colour code (for example, #ffffff) or use the colour picker

  • Select Save after making changes

  • Select OK in the success confirmation pop-up window

Tip: If your branding guidelines specify exact colours, use hex codes to match them precisely.
