4. Conducting Inspections
Updated over 2 weeks ago

Conducting inspections is super easy with Inspection Manager. Simply tap on the Area name to expand it where you will find the Condition Codes, Comments, and Photos.

STEP 1: Tap on the Area you wish to add data to so that it expands.

STEP 2: Tap on the Condition Code Icons to indicate the current condition of the item.

The icons can be one of 3 statuses:

  • Neutral:

  • Yes:

  • No:

These options can also be actioned with the Thumbs up option for every item.

For Ingoing/Outgoing inspections you can also tap the Thumbs up icon to mark all items in the entire area as good condition:

STEP 3: Tap on the Comment Icon to add a new comment or tap a previous comment to edit/delete it.

When adding a Comment, you can utilise the predictive dictionary that syncs from the CMS to your mobile device.

Typing any part of the predictive phrase will display a list of phrases from your Predictive Phrases dictionary.

Any shortcut codes that are saved against a predictive phrase can be used instead of typing the sentence as well, this can be faster if you have it set up correctly. Writing the shortcut code and then hitting space will automatically add that predictive phrase.

You can also use voice-to-text by tapping the microphone icon if you have internet access.

STEP 4: Tap on the Camera Icon to add a new photo or tap on a previous photo to add comments or delete it.

  • Quick Capture: The Quick Capture icon displays at the top right of the camera screen and is toggled ON by default. With this option turned on you can take many consecutive photos one after the other, however if it is turned off you will need to save each photo before another one can be taken.

  • Photo Comments: Adding comments to photos is a very simple process. Once an image is taken you can tap the already taken image and you will see the following message at the bottom of the photo which indicates you are able to tap a location on the photo to add a comment.
If the photo comment icon you added was incorrectly placed, you can tap, hold and reposition it to your desired location.

You can also Edit & Delete already added comments from the comment display section at the bottom of the screen while viewing the image.

  • Delete Image: You can delete an image you do not want by either tapping the 'X' icon at the top right of the photo when viewing the Area/Item section. Or if viewing the photo you will have an option to delete that photo with the 'Delete' option at the bottom left of the screen.

Once you are finished editing your photo you can tap the Done option at the bottom middle of the screen.

STEP 5: The tenant action feature allows you to tap the broom icon and add comments, photos and mark items as tenant action needed.

See more details on how this feature works here.

STEP 6: The maintenance feature allows you to add maintenance requests that when the inspection is synced will also sync the maintenance requests to Bricks + Agent and create jobs to be processed.

Note: This option requires you to have a Bricks + Agent account with an active integration with Inspection Manager. For more information please contact sales@proptechlabs.com

STEP 7: Once you have completed your inspection, you will come across two options at the bottom of each inspection screen, 'Sync Later' or 'Sync Now'.

  • Sync Later: This will put this inspection into Not Synced status and then give you a pop-up option to either move on to the next inspection in your list to conduct or to move on to the sync screen.

  • Sync Now: This will put this inspection into Not Synced status and then take you to the sync screen with this inspection already preselected for you to then sync right away.
